----- Why I chose The Black Country as my subject -----

Following the success of last year’s Stourbridge Calendar, I knew I needed to expand the area in which I captured. The older I get, the more I've grown to love the area in which we live, and the lockdown helped me understand how beautiful areas were right on my doorstep.

I'm proud to live and work in the Black Country, full of history that you can still see around us today in our high streets and villages but even more so in the Black Country Living Museum. We have a whole museum dedicated to sharing our history and potentially some of our ancestors’, how fabulous is that!
